A technical SEO, GEO and AEO audit platform built around verifiable evidence

Index Instrument is a production B2B SaaS product for teams that need to understand what search engines and AI systems can actually retrieve from a public website.

The problem

What the product needed to solve

Most audit products stop at a long report. This product needed to collect observable HTTP evidence, explain the business impact, separate findings by protocol and support a controlled path from diagnosis to code changes and live verification.

Product approach
  • Designed the product around evidence, remediation and verification rather than an opaque score.
  • Separated a low-friction public scan from deeper commercial audit and monitoring workflows.
  • Built focused public tools for crawler rules, sitemaps, structured data, metadata and GEO readiness.
  • Connected product pages, protocol documentation, pricing and educational content into one discoverable acquisition system.

Architecture

How the system was organized

The platform separates the public web application, asynchronous audit work, evidence storage and remediation logic. React and TypeScript provide the product interface, while a Python service layer handles controlled fetches, protocol checks and structured results. Public and authenticated routes have separate crawl and security boundaries.

Result

The result is a commercial audit product that can explain a visibility problem, point to the public evidence behind it and verify whether the deployed correction changed the observable result.

Evidence boundary

  • Audit results describe public technical signals and do not guarantee rankings or AI citations.
  • Named public teardowns are independent observations, not customer endorsements.
Responsive product surface

The workflow remains clear on a phone

The mobile surface preserves the primary product action, hierarchy and account context instead of reducing the page to a compressed desktop layout.

Questions answered

What buyers usually need to know

What does Index Instrument audit?
It audits public technical signals used by search engines and AI retrieval systems, including metadata, crawler directives, sitemaps, structured data and machine-readable discovery endpoints.
Why was a custom audit platform needed?
The product needed evidence collection, protocol-specific logic, controlled remediation and live verification in one workflow. A generic reporting dashboard could not provide that operating model.
Does the platform promise rankings or AI citations?
No. It reports observable technical conditions and helps teams correct self-inflicted visibility problems. Search rankings and citations remain controlled by external systems.
Can a similar SaaS product start with a focused release?
Yes. A first release can focus on one diagnostic workflow, a clear evidence model and a useful report before monitoring and automated remediation are added.

Need a technical SaaS product with real audit and workflow logic?

We can define the first evidence model, product workflow and release scope without turning the project into an oversized platform.
